Raymond Births: Alex Girvan 5 May 1845, Mary J Lester Aug 3, 1857, Bertha Girvan Dec 18, 1885, George Girvan Jan 11, 1890, Harold Girvan Jan 20, 1896, Edna Girvan Oct 7, 1897, Allan Wallace Robinson Jan 26, 1953 Deaths:Edna Girvan Mar 14, 1900, Bertha Girvan Mar 15, 1900 Marriages: daughter Mildred E. Reardon married Robinson 28 April 1951 (this was Mildred E. Carson & Timothy Reardon daughter/my grandparents) There was a newspaper clipping glued to the back of the bible, this is what was printed on it:N.B. March 23, 1900,GIRVAN - on March 14 and 15 at 52 Troy St. Boston, Mass., Edna L and Bertha M. beloved children of Alexander and Mary Girvan, aged 2 yrs, 6 months and 7 days, funeral from their parents residence 52 Troy St, Boston, Mass. The home of Mr & Mrs. Alex Girvan, formerly of this place, but who now resides in Boston, was visited by death last week, which carried off 2 of their children. On the 14th, Edna aged 2 yrs and 6 months died from pneumonia and on the following day Bertha, aged 14 yrs and 3 months died from hasty consumption. The parents have the sympathy of many friends in their sad and sudden bereavement.That was all that we could find in the bible.
